NASHVILLE – All nine runs scored in the game came in the third inning and Indiana State would be unable to rally for a third consecutive come-from-behind win as the Sycamores dropped a 5-4 decision to ETSU Saturday evening in Nashville.
A pair of home runs for the Buccaneers (6-8) proved too much to handle as ETSU scored five runs on five hits in the top of the third, all of which came on two home runs.
Indiana State (9-5) responded in the bottom half of the inning with four runs on six hits but couldn't score after that frame.
