Cummings sets new Indiana State mark in 1650 on final day of Miami Invite

OXFORD, Ohio – Grace Cummings made Indiana State history on Saturday afternoon as the freshman set a new mark in the 1650-yard Freestyle to highlight the final day at the 2025 Miami Invite.

Cummings shattered Indiana State's previous record in the 1650-yard Freestyle by over eight seconds, posting a 16:23.09 on her way to posting a time that was the Sycamores' first swim in program history under the new NCAA postseason standard.

"Grace's swim was a historic one this evening," head coach Josh Christensen said. "Not only was it a school record and a win, but it's our first ever performance under the new NCAA standards.
