ST. LOUIS - Indiana State Women's Track & Field standouts Brooke Moore and Cassaundra Roper have been named the Missouri Valley Conference Female Track & Field Athletes of the Week, the Valley announced Tuesday afternoon.

Elkhart, Ind.-native Brooke Moore put on a gutsy performance in the 800-meter run to win the event from behind on Saturday at the Coughlan-Malloy Cup. Trailing Hattie Plumb early on, Moore kicked it into another gear during the final 400-meters and ultimately finished with the seventh-fastest time in Indiana State history of 2:10.
