MUNCIE, Ind. -- For the second time in as many games to start the season, the Sycamores went to overtime and this time they came away with a thrilling 80-74 overtime victory over Ball State inside Worthen Arena.
The Sycamores improved to 1-1 on the season while Ball State fell to 1-1. It was just the second ever victory for ISU inside Worthen Arena and was the fifth win in the last six against the Cardinals.
Brenton Scott led the way with 25 points while Everett Clemons narrowly missed a triple-double with 11 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.
