Baseball Falls to Utah Valley as Late Rally Comes Up Short, 7-6

OREM, Utah – Indiana State baseball came up just short in their series opener against Utah Valley, falling to the Wolverine, 7-6 at Brown Field.

The Sycamores (4-4) went into the ninth tailing Utah Valley 7-5 but back-to-back singles from Tyler Friis and Dominic Bifano gave ISU the spark it needed to start the rally. CJ Huntley moved the runners over on a sacrifice bunt before Dane Giesler loaded the bases after being hit by a pitch.

Indiana State would pick up a run on a passed ball but that would be it as Patrick Wolfe retired Tony Rosselli on strikes to secure the win for UVU.
