ST. LOUIS – Senior All-American Joshua Appel and wide receiver Robert Tonyan Jr. have been named as members of the Missouri Valley Football Conference’s Preseason All-Conference team, the Valley announced Tuesday morning.
Appel, who just yesterday was named a STATS FCS Preseason First-Team All-American, was named First-Team All-MVFC and enters his final season with the Sycamores as one of the finest long snappers in the nation. Appel is a two-time winner of the well-known long snapping camp hosted by Chris Rubio. This summer, Appel bested 37 of the best collegiate long snappers in the nation to take the overall title yet again.
