ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Indiana State sophomore catcher Annie Tokarek was honored by the Missouri Valley Conference Tuesday as she was named the league's Player of the Week following her dominating performance at the Memphis Softball Tournament.
Tokarek lead the Sycamores going 9-for-16 (.562) this past weekend, hitting four homeruns, eight runs batted in, with a 1.375 slugging percentage, she highlighted the comeback win over Butler, with a walk-off grand slam.
The catcher is tied for first in the MVC with her eight homeruns on the season. Tokarek currently has an eight-game hit streak.
