All-around solid game lifts Sycamores to 7-3 victory over IUPUI

INDIANAPOLIS – The Sycamore offense awoke for seven runs on 11 hits while threw a gem to complete a strong 7-3 team victory over IUPUI on Tuesday.

Indiana State (16-17) snapped a four-game losing streak with today's win over the Jaguars (13-20), but Ihle (12-9) and the Sycamores started the game off in a bit of a jam. After going down in order at the plate in the top of the first, ISU gave up two leadoff singles followed by back-to-back walks to give IUPUI a 1-0 lead. Ihle, as she has for much of the season, collected herself and started dealing, getting a flyout to center before striking out two Jaguars to end the inning.
