Pacers forward Thaddeus Young has a sterling reputation in the Pacers' locker room. He has been voted a team captain each of the past few years, helps mentor younger players, and is often the most vocal player in team huddles.
Young was recognized on Monday, when he was named one of 12 nominees for the 2018-19 Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award. The award is handed out each year to "the player deemed the best teammate based on selfless play, on- and off-court leadership as a mentor and role model to other NBA players, and commitment and dedication to team.
