The Pacers are the only professional sports franchise that owes its survival to a telethon. That unique story has been told on Pacers.com, and will now be told in video form as part of ESPN's 30 for 30 shorts series.
"Slick, Nancy and the Telethon" will debut online at www.espn.com/30for30shorts on Feb. 16. It will make its television debut on ESPN on Feb. 19 during the 6-7 p.m. hour.
The 14 ½-minute documentary was produced by Terre Haute native and Indianapolis resident Michael Husain, who has contributed several works to ESPN over the years, including several of the Sports Century biographical features.
