Paul George had 19 second half points as part of his team high 20 to help Team USA improve to 2-0 against Venezuela.
Through 10 minutes, Team USA were shocked to find themselves in a slugfest with Venezuela, who forced an 18-18 tie after the first quarter. A tight whistle had the United States taken aback early as DeMarcus Cousins, Klay Thompson, and Paul George each had two first quarter fouls to alongside poor shooting (sans Kevin Durant) and a number of turnovers opened the door for Venezuela to hold a lead late in the first quarter.
