Malcolm Brogdon has not had the most fortunate year with the Indiana Pacers, but the season suspension has advantaged him in an odd way.
When the season was put on hold in mid-March due to concerns over the spread of novel coronavirus, Brogdon was in the middle of being sidelined due to a torn left rectus femoris, one of several injuries he’s had throughout the year.
Previous injuries had been, for the most part, just bumps and scratches, and this one was a bit more serious. The lack of games, practices, and therefore media availabilities has made it difficult to get a clear update on Brogdon’s status over the last several weeks.
