Indiana Pacers Love/Hate series: Bojan Bogdanovic

Related Topics: Indiana Pacers, Thaddeus Young

Bojan Bogdanovic guarding LeBron James. You remember that? This wasn’t a one-shining-moment thing. Nor was it a terrifying accident. Like, a Cavalier screen forced the Indiana Pacers to switch defensively and, oh crap, Bogey is about to be the skunk to LeBron’s Jeep Wrangler getting roadkilled while James speeds unencumbered to the basket.

No, Bogdanovic was the primary defender on the best active player in the world for an entire series. Not steady defender Thad Young or first-team all-defender Victor Oladipo, it wasn’t them. It was Bogdanovic, and he didn’t look half bad.

Don’t get me wrong, he didn’t look great either – James did average 34 points per game in the series, thrice scoring in the 40’s – but, he did better than most anyone thought possible.
