When the Indiana Pacers selected Aaron Holiday with the 23rd pick in the 2018 NBA draft, the reactions were overwhelmingly positive. He slides into a future position of need. He was a great player for UCLA. He has real NBA skills. It seemed like a home run.
I have been critical of the pick myself, but for this article, that is neither here nor there. Today, I want to take a look at Aaron Holiday’s rookie-scale contract, which is far and away the best thing about having him on the team.
Holiday has value as a prospect and a player.
