Which former Indiana Hoosier players made cut for initial 53-man NFL rosters?

As NFL teams around the league set their initial 53-man rosters for the 2025-26 season, roster cuts were finalized on Tuesday.

NFL teams had until 4 p.m. ET, (today) Tuesday to reduce their 90-player preseason rosters to 53-man active rosters for the regular season.

Several former Indiana football players have been competing for roster spots for the last month but their journey came to an end or at least a pause for now until further notice.

Here were the former Hoosiers that were waived:

  • James Carpenter (Defensive Lineman) was waived by the Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Zach Horton (Tight End) was waived by the Detroit Lions
  • Ke’Shawn Williams (Wide receiver) was waived by the Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Cam Jones (Defensive Lineman) was waived by the Kansas City Chiefs
  • Dan Feeney (Offensive Lineman) was waived by the Buffalo Bills
  • Luke Haggard (Offensive Lineman) was waived by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • Raheem Layne (Safety) was waived by the New York Giants
  • Trey Wedig (Offensive lineman) was waived by the Los Angeles Rams
  • Nate Sudfeld (Quarterback) was waived by the San Francisco 49ers
  • Jailin Walker (Linebacker) was waived by the Las Vegas Raiders
