ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Redshirt-sophomore Reese Sharp delivered a dazzling relief appearance for the second straight day and the freshman duo of Carter Mathison and Brock Tibbitts powered the offense in a 10-8 victory over Michigan on Sunday (May 8) afternoon at Ray Fisher Stadium to earn the series victory.
Runs were scored in seven of the nine innings and there were six lead changes in the series finale, as Indiana (22-25, 8-10 B1G) opened things with two runs in the second inning. Michigan (24-20, 10-8 B1G) got two each in the second and third frames, before a three-run fifth for IU.
