Another week, another blowout win for IU football.
The Hoosiers dismantled UCLA 56-6 on Saturday at Memorial Stadium and moved from No. 4 in the ESPN Football Power Index (FPI) to No. 2.
Curt Cignetti’s Hoosiers started the season at No. 26 in the FPI. Ohio State is No. 1 in the FPI, followed by IU, Oregon, Alabama and Notre Dame.
The current FPI rankings for IU’s remaining opponents: Maryland (No. 55), Penn State (No. 21), Wisconsin (No. 63) and Purdue (No. 81).
In the preseason, the FPI projected the Hoosiers to finish 9-3 with losses to Iowa, Oregon and Penn State.
