Salyers Tabbed Big Ten Golfer of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana sophomore Drew Salyers has been named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon.

The accolade is the first in the career of Salyers. He earned the distinction after leading the Hoosiers to a third-place team finish at the Hoosier Collegiate Invitational over Labor Day Weekend at The Pfau Course.

The Howard, Ohio, native earned the individual title at the event after shooting a 208 (68-72-68; -5) through three rounds. He carried the field by two strokes to become the first Hoosier since Brendan Doyle (2017) to place first in an individual stroke-play tournament.
