The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) announced their annual All-Regional teams this week with both Andrew Saalfrank and Matt Lloyd earning First Team All-Region honors for the Midwest Region.
Saalfrank was one of three pitchers selected to the First Team along with Ball State’s Drey Jameson and Minnesota’s Max Meyer. Saalfrank was drafted to the Diamondbacks, along with James, with the two going in the sixth and first round, respectively. Saalfrank also earned Pitcher of the Year honors in the Big Ten as well as First Team All-Conference recognition.
Lloyd also was named to the Big Ten’s First Team and was drafted to the Cincinnati Reds in the 15th round of the MLB Draft.
