Report: An old friend of the program could be coming back

The man who brought Tevin Coleman and Jordan Howard to Bloomington — and then helped turn them into NFL running backs once they arrived — could be on his way back to Indiana.

Football Scoop, citing multiple sources, is reporting that former IU running backs coach Deland McCullough is close to finalizing an agreement to retake his old job with the program. The outlet says McCullough would also add the title of associate head coach.

Yeah, this is big.

First of all, McCullough is a heck of a coach, proving as much as during his six seasons on Kevin Wilson’s staff.
