BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – A record total of 55 IU students who participate in intercollegiate athletics across five winter sports earned Academic All-Big Ten recognition, the Big Ten Conference announced Wednesday.
The 55 honoree school record is an increase from the previous record of 48 set last winter.
"Supporting the academic pursuits of our students is one of our primary missions, so to once again break our school record with 55 Academic All-Big Ten honorees during the winter season is a tremendous accomplishment and source of pride for our entire department," said IU Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Fred Glass.
