Indiana University is in its 122nd season of competition in men's basketball and will open play in the 2022 Big Ten Tournament against the eighth seeded Michigan Wolverines. The Hoosiers will be looking to end a nine-game losing streak to the Wolverines after Michigan won the lone matchup by a score of 80-62 on Jan. 23 in Bloomington.
The streak began in the 2016 Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinals in Indianapolis when the Wolverines knocked off top seed IU, 72-69. Since that game, IU has won six straight in Gainbridge Fieldhouse, including a 64-56 win over Notre Dame in December.
