Nearly one year ago to the day, Lilly King re-ignited the Cold War with a finger wag and a gold medal. This summer, she did it all over again.
At the 17th annual FINA World Aquatic Championships in Budapest, King captured a gold medal in the 100-meter breaststroke.
Infamous Russian Yuliya Efimova finished third by nearly a second while American Katie Meili took second. The time is over a second-and-a-half quicker than her time in the Olympics last summer.
No word on if Lilly King repeated the finger wag after winning the medal.
