Legendary Indiana broadcaster Chuck Marlowe dies at 86

The Indiana basketball community has lost an icon.

Chuck Marlowe, the former TV play-by-play man for Indiana basketball and host of the The Bob Knight Show, has died at age 86 according to several media reports.

Marlowe was a legendary figure around the state, a fixture with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway's radio coverage of the Indianapolis 500 for years, in addition to his play-by-play work with WTTV (channel 4) for Indiana basketball. If you grew up watching the Hoosiers on channel 4, Chuck Marlowe is certainly part of your childhood memories, some of which can be relived through the video introduction to induction into the Indiana Broadcast Pioneer Hall of Fame.
