BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University men's soccer sophomore Jack Maher and freshman Joshua Penn earned preseason All-America honors from Top Drawer Soccer earlier this week.
Maher was named to the Second-Team Preseason Best XI team, while Penn was named to the Freshman Preseason Best XI squad. Also, in the site's top-100 rankings of upperclassmen, Maher was ranked No. 21, Joris Ahlinvi was ranked No. 45 and Simon Waever was ranked No. 71.
The honors keep rolling in for Maher, the Big Ten Freshman of the Year a season ago. Maher was the only sophomore named to the preseason MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List and was named also named a preseason All-American by College Soccer News.
