IU’s Capobianco Wins Bronze at FINA World Championships

GWANGJU, South Korea – Indiana University diver Andrew Capobianco, along with teammate Katrina Young, won bronze for Team USA in the mixed team diving event at the 2019 FINA World Championships on Tuesday.

Capobianco and Young combined for a score of 357.60 to win the bronze medal for Team USA. China won gold with a score of 416.65, while Russia took silver with a total of 390.05.

The team event involves two divers - one male and one female - who will perform three dives apiece. All six groups of dives must be represented, and each diver must perform at least one dive from the 3-meter and one from the 10-meter.
