IU hires longtime NBA assistant Armond Hill to admin role

Another infusion of NBA wisdom is on the way to Cook Hall.

That’s because new Indiana men’s basketball coach Mike Woodson just hired longtime NBA assistant Armond Hill to an administrative role in the program. Hill, who worked with Woodson on the Los Angeles Clippers staff from 2014 to 2018, will take the role of director of basketball administration in Bloomington. For Hill, it will be his first college job since an eight-year run as head coach at Columbia ended in 2003.

After leaving the college game, Hill spent the next 17 seasons in the NBA as an assistant for the Clippers, Atlanta Hawks and Boston Celtics.
