The Maxwell Award, which honors the top player in college football, announced its preseason award watch list on Monday.
Two IU football players – wide receiver Elijah Sarratt and quarterback Fernando Mendoza – are on the list.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Awarded to the outstanding player in college football, the Maxwell Award announced its preseason watch list for the award with Indiana football quarterback Fernando Mendoza and wide receiver Elijah Sarratt each among the 80-player contingent.
Indiana is one of 16 programs to have multiple student-athletes on the preseason watch list.
