IU football’s 27-14 win against Old Dominion in week one moved the Hoosiers down in both polls released Monday afternoon.
The less-than-expected final margin of just 13 points against the Monarchs hurt IU in the polls released ahead of week two. The Hoosiers entered Saturday’s season opener as a 24-point favorite.
In his Monday press conference, Curt Cignetti said his team “left 35 points on the field” in the victory.
“I’m never going to apologize for a win,” Cignetti said. “They’re too hard to get. Same team that should have beat South Carolina last year in the opener.
