IU football falls in AP poll, coaches poll following week one win against Old Dominion

IU football’s 27-14 win against Old Dominion in week one moved the Hoosiers down in both polls released Monday afternoon.

The less-than-expected final margin of just 13 points against the Monarchs hurt IU in the polls released ahead of week two. The Hoosiers entered Saturday’s season opener as a 24-point favorite.

In his Monday press conference, Curt Cignetti said his team “left 35 points on the field” in the victory.

“I’m never going to apologize for a win,” Cignetti said. “They’re too hard to get. Same team that should have beat South Carolina last year in the opener.
