BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University men's soccer's Andrew Gutman and Trey Muse were both named one of 15 semifinalists for the 2018 MAC Hermann Trophy, United Soccer Coaches announced on Tuesday. The semifinalists were determined based on voting by NCAA DI soccer coaches.
Indiana is one of two schools (Wake Forest) with two semifinalists for the most sought-after individual award in NCAA soccer. The two semifinalists are the most for IU since the team had three (Jacob Peterson, Brian Plotkin, Jed Zayner) in 2005. In the storied history of Indiana men's soccer, an IU player has been named the national player of the year 11 times.
