BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women's basketball will start the 2021-22 season with its highest ever ranking in a national poll as it came in at No. 7 in the USA Today/WBCA coaches poll, announced on Wednesday.
They jumped three spots from its final ranking of the 2020-21 season where it finished at No. 10. It's the highest ever ranking in the poll, surpassing the previous record of coming in at No. 9 in Week 16 last season. The Hoosiers have now appeared in the coaches poll for the last 21 weeks and just the third time its appeared in the preseason rankings.
