The USA Today preseason coaches top 25 poll was released on Tuesday and Indiana is the highest-ranked Big Ten team.
The Hoosiers are No. 14, just behind Arizona and just ahead of Auburn.
IU’s opponent in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge, North Carolina, is No. 1. Kansas, another non-conference opponent for the Hoosiers, is No. 5.
The other ranked Big Ten teams are Michigan at No. 22 and Illinois at No. 23. Purdue, Michigan State, Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio State and Rutgers all received votes.
Indiana is ranked No. 13 in the Associated Press preseason top 25 poll.
