Indiana makes an early season statement, taking down Marquette in Sunday victory

The (2-0) Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball program had a statement win this afternoon when they defeated the (2-1) Marquette Golden Eagles at the United Center, 100-77.

Indiana was led in scoring in their win by senior forward Tucker DeVries who had 27 total points. The two-time Missouri Valley Conference player of the year scored 24 of his game-high 27 points in the first half.

True freshman Trent Sisley added 15 points and big-man Sam Alexis had13 points off the bench. Indiana made 14-of-28 3-pointers and were able to take care of the ball tonight, they committed just 8 turnovers.
