In an announcement made yesterday by Indiana Athletic Director Fred Glass, Indiana football will return to putting players’ names on the back of their jerseys moving forward.
“After listening to feedback from a variety of sources, particularly from our fans, I believe it is the right decision to return to an exception for football to our tradition of not having players’ names on our uniforms” Glass said.
Just a year into the change, the names had been removed from the back of the football uniforms for the 2018 season, the fans were not a fan of the new move and voiced their frustrations.
