It was the home opener for the Indiana football program and the team made sure to make it a memorable one as they took down Eastern Illinois 52-0, the largest margin of victory in Memorial Stadium history.
The Hoosiers dominated from the opening kickoff holding the Panthers to -5 yards in the first quarter, jumping out to a 21-0 lead in no time. It was a welcomed sight, and something we touched on before the game, as Kalen DeBoer put an emphasis on the running game to start, as Stevie Scott racked up 35 yards and a touchdown in the first 15 minutes.
