It was not only a great road victory for the Indiana football program, but it was the first time since Tom Allen was officially named the head coach for the Hoosiers that they will be back in a bowl game.
As it continues to be a year of ‘first’s’, it was not only the first time since 2007 that the Hoosiers reached five wins in seven weeks, but also the first six win season for Allen. While he coached the 2016 bowl game, taking over for Kevin Wilson, it is a special moment for the Hoosiers as this season continues to be one of the better years in Indiana history.
