Indiana Football: Celebrating Anthony Thompson’s legacy

The history of the Indiana football program doesn’t have a ton of great memories, but it does have Anthony Thompson. A former running back for the Hoosiers, Thompson is arguably the greatest Indiana football player of all time.

Thompson turns 53 today (April 8th) and is currently a pastor in Bloomington. He played for the Hoosiers from 1986-89 and rushed for 5,299 career yards and 67 touchdowns. Thompson rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of his last three seasons and he scored 50 of his touchdowns in his last two years.

Thompson not only was one of the best players in the history of the Hoosier football team, but he was one of the best in the Big Ten.
