Smith was a redshirt freshman last season after appearing in two games in 2022. Originally recruited by Darren Hiller, he ended up being the highest graded starting offensive linemen on Bob Bostad’s revamped offensive line last season.
Both Khalil Benson and Matthew Bedford transferred to Colorado while Mike Katic announced his departure for the NFL.
