The former Indiana football standout is back in the NFL, this time staying on the sidelines. Antwaan Randle El will join Bruce Arians’ staff in Tampa Bay as a member of the offense and special teams units as an assistant.
Randle El was one of 18 new assistants for Bruce Arians and the Buccaneers.
Arians and Randle El spent time together when the Steelers won the Super Bowl in 2006 and when they advanced to the Super Bowl in 2011, while Arians was the offensive coordinator.
Randle El, 39, who has been working as the athletic director for Virginia Academy, a private school in Loudoun County, Va, recently served as the interim head basketball coach as well.
