Indiana Basketball: 2020 signee honored as one of nations best

With the high school season over and the excitement building for Indiana basketball’s 2020 recruiting class to step foot on campus, one signee continues to receive national honors for his play.

After being named the MaxPreps Player of the Year for Indiana last week, Anthony Leal received All-American Honorable Mention on Thursday for his play this season. 50 players were honored with five All-American teams and then 25 players received honorable mention recognition.

The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 18.5 points per game and led Bloomington South to an undefeated record. On his way to the undefeated season, Leal became the all-time Bloomington South leading scorer, adding another mark on his terrific high school career.
