Hoosiers Win Pair of Games Over SJSU, Salem

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – No. 14 Indiana picked up two wins on Saturday at Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center including its first conference win of the season. It prevailed 6-3 over No. 13 San Jose State before also defeating Salem, 14-8.

KEY MOMENTS

  • Indiana faced an early deficit to the Spartans, trailing 1-0 after the first quarter. Senior Izzy Mandema would tie the game up at the 7:21 mark of the second quarter as Indiana scored three unanswered to tie the game at the break, 3-3.
  • Mandema led the way in the second half as she netted all three goals for the Hoosiers and left San Jose State scoreless the remainder of the game to pull out the win.
