BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana baseball (17-14-2, 4-4-1) couldn't overcome the power of the Minnesota Golden Gophers (21-8, 7-0) as the Hoosiers lost, 11-0, on Friday night at Bart Kaufman Field.
IU recorded two hits from freshmen Matt Gorski and Jeremy Houston.
Sophomore Jonathan Steiver got the start and pitched 4.1 innings. Freshman Andrew Saalfrank relived Steiver and threw an inning and two-thirds. Junior Kade Kryzsko pitched two and one-thirds innings of scoreless baseball.
The Gophers got things started right away with a lead off home run in the first inning.
