CHICAGO – One of the first things Tom Allen did in Chicago over the weekend was check out an athlete who wore red and did historic deeds.
Allen sat directly behind the Wrigley Field visitors' dugout to watch a player post five extra-base hits by the sixth inning for the first time in Major League Baseball history – in this case three homers and two doubles by the Cardinals' Matt Carpenter.
