BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana junior forward Mackenzie Holmes was named one of 20 to the 2022 Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy Player of the Year midseason team.
Holmes is averaging a team-high 17.9 points, 8.2 rebounds and shooting 61.5 percent from the floor in 14 games. She has scored in double figures in 13 of 14 games, recorded three double-doubles and averages 1.9 blocks per game. Holmes currently ranks sixth in school history with 134 career blocks and became the 30th member of IU's 1,000-point club earlier this season. She has been sidelined with a knee injury since Jan.
