BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana baseball team jumped out to an early lead Sunday (March 20th) in the first game of the doubleheader against Xavier, and cruised to a 13-3 victory at Bart Kaufman Field.
The two teams traded single runs early in the game, before Indiana (8-11) scored four in the second, two in the third and four in the fourth inning to stake to an 11-1 lead. Xavier (7-13) got two back in the fifth inning, before IU would tack on one run in the sixth and seventh innings to cap the scoring in game one.
