At the buzzer: Indiana 90, Marshall 79

Quick thoughts on a 90-79 win over Marshall:

How it happened: Indiana’s defense, its strong suit through its first five games, was a problem in the first half against Marshall. The Hoosiers had barely trailed at all this season, but the Thundering Herd waltzed right into Bloomington and opened up a 12-point lead at the six-minute mark of the first half on a jump shot by Mikel Beyers. Indiana rallied from the deficit to cut the lead to one by halftime at 42-41 thanks to a strong half by All-American candidate Trayce Jackson-Davis. Turnovers didn’t help in the first half, either, as Indiana committed nine that led to 11 points for Marshall.
