An updated look at where each Big Ten team stands in Bart Torvik’s projections for the 2025-26 season

Bart Torvik’s T-Rank, along with KenPom, are two of the most referenced college basketball computer rankings. The NCAA tournament selection committee uses both metrics when building the bracket.

KenPom’s projections for the 2025-26 season will be released in October. Torvik, however, has been updating his projections throughout the offseason.

Torvik’s current preseason top-five teams for next season are Houston, Purdue, Michigan, Duke and Florida.

Several of Indiana’s non-conference opponents are highly regarded in Torvik’s preseason rankings. Kentucky is No. 13, Louisville is No. 16 and Marquette is No. 49.
