A Pair of IU Alumni, Olympians to Compete in IU Relays

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Two former Indiana greats will come back to the Harry Gladstein Fieldhouse to compete in the 2017 IU Relays. , the 2016 Olympic Gold Medalist in the high jump, will compete in the heptathlon. Drouin was the first field athlete with Indiana University ties to win Olympic Gold in 60 years. The Canadian superstar holds two indoor school records, the high jump (2.35m) and the heptathlon (5,817 points). Drouin won the Bowerman following his 2013 campaign. Drouin earned All-America distinctions in the high jump seven times, won seven Big Ten Championships, was a five-time NCAA champion, honored as Big Ten Athlete of the Year five times, three-time Athlete of the Big Ten Championships and was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year.
