On Friday, eyes all around Hoosier Nation were on Greenwood, Indiana as recent IU signees Trayce Jackson-Davis and Armaan Franklin went head-to-head on the hardwood in a matchup between Center Grove and Cathedral. Two of the best players in the state and future collegiate teammates putting on a show in front of a packed house, but that’s not what this game would be remembered for.
The Trojan student section sits behind the basket and featured what I’ll refer to as a “distractor” at the front. The distractor’s job is simple—do whatever you can to distract opposing players as they attempt free throws in hopes of forcing a miss.
