2017 NBA Draft: Lakers select Thomas Bryant 42nd overall

After a sophomore season of averaging 12.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game, Thomas Bryant has been selected by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 42nd pick in the draft.

Much like his former teammate OG Anunoby, who was selected earlier in the night by, Bryant’s selection by the Lakers seems to be largely based upon potential. This potential directly stems from Bryant’s size and versatility, as the former Hoosier center spent last season shooting 38.8 percent from behind the three-point line at a towering 6’10” and 242 pounds.

What should make Bryant successful with the Lakers, should be his mobility and his ability to stretch the floor.
